Long Distance has released a soundtrack album for the French family adventure The Desert Child (L’enfant du désert). The album features the film’s original music composed by Armand Amar (The Concert, The Wolf and the Lion,Autumn and the Black Jaguar, The Source, Mia and the White Lion, A Bag of Marbles, Belle & Sebastian, The History of Love). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composer’s title tracks after the jump. The Desert Child is directed by Gilles de Maistre and stars Nahel Tran, Nahil Bouazzaoui, Zayn Sekkat and Kev Adams. The movie follows a 14 year-old girl who publishes a story about a tribal child raised by ostriches that her grandfather has been telling her since she was little and – after a local community hears about her book – gets invited to the Sahara, where she meets a Nomad girl of her own age. The drama is opening in French theaters today. No word yet on a domestic release.
