recordJet has released a soundtrack album for the Finnish comedy drama The Squirrel (Orava). The album features the film’s original music composed by Freya Arde (Riefenstahl, Calle MálagaThe Corridors of PowerMy Extraordinary Summer with TessThe Hidden Life of Trees,Turning Tables, Almost Fly, Ever After). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s final track after the jump. The Squirrel is written and directed by Markus Lehmusruusu and stars Miro Lopperi and Mimosa Willamo. The movie is set in a sterile world without nature or animals and follows a lonely and compassionate designer of synthetic pets, who stumbles upon the last surviving squirrel by chance and decides to defy the rules and help the animal back into its natural habitat. The dramedy just opened in Finnish theaters this past weekend. No word yet on a domestic release.
