Christophe Beck (FrozenAnt-ManWandaVisionEdge of TomorrowBuffy the Vampire SlayerFree GuyThe HangoverThe Muppets, The Pink Panther) has composed the original score for the upcoming family adventure The Sheep Detectives. The film is directed by Kyle Balda (Minions, Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax) and stars Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon, Hong Chau and Emma Thompson. The project’s voice cast includes Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Regina Hall, Chris O’Dowd, Patrick Stewart, Brett Goldstein, Bella Ramsey and Rhys Darby. The movie based on Leonie Swann’s novel Three Bags Full tells the story of a shepherd who reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every night, assuming they can’t possibly understand, but when a mysterious incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep realize they must become the detectives. Craig Mazin (Chernobyl, The Last of Us) wrote the screenplay. Tim Bevan & Eric Fellner (Atonement, Les Miserables) are producing the Working Titles Film & Three Strange Angels production with Lindsay Doran (Sense and Sensibility, Nanny McPhee). The Sheep Detectives will be released in theaters nationwide on May 8, 2026 by Amazon MGM Studios.
