Bear McCreary (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Outlander, Happy Death Day, God of War) has composed the themes for the new horror comedy Vampires of the Velvet Lounge. The Emmy Award winner’s composer collective Sparks & Shadows has written the original score for the film written and directed by Adam Sherman (Happiness Runs, producer of Marfa Girl) and starring Mena Suvari, Dichen Lachman, Stephen Dorff, India Eisley, Sarah Dumont, Rosa Salazar, Lochlyn Munro, Mark Boon Jr., Timothy Murphy, Sherman Augustus, Tom Berenger and Tyrese Gibson. The movie follows a coven of vampires who is hunting on dating apps, where they meet vampire hunters and schedule dates. Sherman is also producing the project with Marcus Englefield (Animal Crackers) and George Lee (The Accursed). McCreary has previously collaborated with Sherman on the director’s last feature, This Game’s Called Murder. Vampires of the Velvet Lounge is being released in select theaters today by Strand Releasing.
