‘F1’ Wins Cinema Audio Society Award

The team behind the sound mixing of Joseph Kosinski’s F1: The Movie has won the award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing in the Motion Pictures – Live Action category at tonight’s 62nd annual Cinema Audio Society Awards ceremony at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. Scoring mixer Alan Meyerson, along with poduction sound mixer Gareth John, re-recording mixers Gary A. Rizzo & Juan Peralta, ADR mixer Alan Freedman and foley mixer Dennis Leonard received the award for the Academy Award-nominated film (scored by Hans Zimmer). In the Motion Pictures – Animated category, scoring mixer Erich Talaba was honored as part of the sound mixing team of Sony Pictures Animation’s Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters (scored by Marcelo Zarvos).  In the Television Series – 1/2 Hour category, Adrià Serrano was honored for his work as part of the sound mixing team of Apple TV’s The Studio (scored by Antonio Sanchez) and in the Television Non-Fiction, Variety or Music – Series or Specials category, Bradshaw Leigh (score & music mixer) and Brian Ruggles & Jay Vicari (music mixers) won the awards part of the sound mixing team of HBO 2-part documentary Billy Joel: And So It Go.
