Dan Romer Scoring Prime Video’s ‘Kevin’

Dan Romer (Lilo & Stitch, Luca, Station ElevenSuperman & Lois, Beasts of No Nation, Beasts of the Southern Wild, ManiacThe Good Doctor) has been tapped to score the upcoming Prime Video original animated series Kevin. He also co-wrote the project’s theme song, I’m Coming Home, with Jason Schwartzman who stars in the title role and is performing the track. Kevin is created by Joe Wengert (Big Mouth) & Aubrey Plaza and also stars Plaza herself, Whoopi Goldberg, John Waters, Aparna Nancherla, Gil Ozeri and Amy Sedaris. The adult animated comedy follows the the titular house cat as he leaves his human owners and moves into a local pet rescue in Astoria, Queens, where a band of misfit animals helps him discover what he truly wants out of life. Plaza & Wengert are also executive producing the Titmouse, Evil Hag & Amazon MGM Studios production with Dan Murphy, as well as Chris Prynoski, Ben Kalina, Shannon Prynoski & Antonio Canobbio (The Legend of Vox Machina, The Mighty Nein). The series will premiere on April 20, 2026 exclusively on Prime Video.

Romer also has Drake Doremus’ Next Life coming up and is also expected to return to score the second season of HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. His other recent feature projects include Lauren Meyering’s Horsegirls, which premiered at last year’s SXSW Film Festival and has recently been picked up by Sumerian Pictures for a domestic release this year.
