Tim Phillips (Becoming Elizabeth, Shameless) has composed the original music for the new Netflix limited series Vladimir. The show is created by Julia May Jonas based on her book of the same title and stars Rachel Weisz, Leo Woodall, John Slattery, Jessica Henwick, Matt Walsh and Ellen Robertson. The comedy drama revolves around an English professor whose complicated marriage and career are thrown into total chaos when she becomes obsessed with a handsome new colleague. May Jonas & Weisz are also executive producing the 20th Television production with Merman’s Sharon Horgan, Stacy Greenberg (Proven Innocent) and Kira Carstensen (Your Monster, SisterS), Jason Winer (Modern Family, Arthur) & Small Dog Picture Company’s Jon Radler (The Santa Clauses, The Big Leap), as well as Shari Springer Berman & Robert Pulcini (American Splendor, The Nanny Diaries) who also directed the first two and final episode. Phillips has previously collaborated with Horgan on Apple TV’s Bad Sisters and Stars’z Shining Vale. Vladimir will premiere next Thursday, March 5 on Netflix.
Phillips’ other recent projects include NBC’s Stumble, which currently airs every Friday night.
