John Paesano (Kingdom of the Planet of the ApesDaredevilThe Maze RunnerSpider-Man: Miles Morales, Cheaper by the Dozen, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Truth Be Told) is the composer of the upcoming Netflix original series The Boroughs. The show is created by Jeffrey Addiss & Will Matthews (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim) and stars Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Denis O’Hare, Clarke Peters, Bill Pullman, Jena Malone, Carlos Miranda, Seth Numrich and Alice Kremelberg. The supernatural drama is set in a seemingly perfect retirement community and revolves around a grieving newcomer whose monstrous encounter inspires him to join a misfit crew of unlikely heroes who uncover a dark secret that proves their “golden years” are more dangerous than anyone expects. Addiss & Matthews are also executive producing the project with The Duffer Brothers (Stranger Things) & Hilary Leavitt (Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen) for Upside Down Pictures, as well as Ben Taylor (Joy, Sex Education) who also directed the first two episodes. The Boroughs will premiere on May 21, 2026 exclusively on Netflix.

Paesano also continues to score Prime Video’s Invincible, which will return for its fourth season on March 18.
