Hollywood Records will release the official soundtrack album for the sci-fi drama In the Blink of an Eye. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Thomas Newman (The Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty, Finding Nemo, 1917, Road to Perdition, Skyfall, Bridge of Spies, Wall-E). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, February 27. The streaming/download link will be added to this page later this week. In the Blink of an Eye is written and directed by Andrew Stanton and stars Rashida Jones, Kate McKinnon, Daveed Diggs, Jorge Vargas and Tanaya Beatty. The movie follows three intersecting storylines spanning thousands of years, involving a Neanderthal family displaced from their home who struggles to survive, a driven post-graduate anthropologist who begins a tentative relationship with a fellow student and an astronaut and a sentient onboard a spaceship bound for a distant planet who confront a mysterious disease, . The Searchlight Pictures production premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will make its streaming debut on February 27 on Hulu.
