Atli Örvarsson (Silo, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, Defending Jacob,The Edge of Seventeen, Rams, The Eagle) is scoring the new CBS drama CIA. The show is the third spinoff to the network’s hit drama FBI and stars Tom Ellis, Nick Gehlfuss, Natalee Linez and Necar Zadegan. The series follows  two unlikely partners – a fast-talking, rule-breaking CIA case officer and a by-the-book, seasoned FBI agent who believes in the rule of law – who are are assigned to work out of CIA’s New York Station and must learn to work together to investigate cases and criminals posing threats on U.S. soil. Dick Wolf (Law & Order franchise), David Hudgins (Friday Night Lights, Parenthood), Nicole Perlman & David Chasteen and Peter Jankowski (When You’re Strange, Dragnet) are executive producing the Universal Television, Wolf Entertainment & CBS Studios production. In addition to FBI, Örvarsson has previously scored the first two spinoffs, FBI: Most Wanted & FBI: International, and is also currently scoring Wolf Entertainment’s Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. & Chicago Med. CIA will premiere this coming Monday, February 23 on CBS.
