Milan Records will release the first soundtrack album for the Australian Hulu/Disney+ original series The Artful Dodger. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Antony Partos (Animal Kingdom, 99 Homes, Christy, The Rover, I Am Mother, Adore). Also included is Josie Mann’s cover of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds’ Into My Arms. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 12 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Artful Dodger is created by David Maher, David Taylor & James McNamara inspired by characters from Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist and stars Thomas Brodie-Sangster, David Thewlis, Maia Mitchell, Susie Porter, Tim Minchin, Damien Garvey, Luke Bracey, Lucy-Rose Leonard, Jeremy Sims, Nicholas Burton, Kim Gyngell, Luke Carroll, Zac Burgess, Vivienne Awosoga, Aljin Abella, Brigid Zeneni and Albert Latailakepa. The first season of the historical drama, which is set in 1850s Australia and explores the adult double life of the famous titular prince of thieves who is now a surgeon, premiered in late 2023 and the second season just made its debut this past Tuesday in the U.S. on Hulu and in most other international markets on Disney+.
