Music Box Records will release a soundtrack album for the French family adventure Children of the Resistance (Les Enfants de la Résistance). The album features the film’s original music composed, orchestrated and conducted by Philippe Rombi (Swimming Pool, War of the Buttons, Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion, Angel, Potiche, In the House, Dalloway). A CD version of the soundtrack will be released on February 27 and is now available for pre-order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. A digital version will also be available soon. Children of the Resistance is co-written and directed by Christophe Barratier and stars Artus, Gérard Jugnot, Pierre Deladonchamps, Leslie Medina, Julien Arruti, Lucas Hector, Nina Filbrandt, Octave Gerbi, Julien Pestel and Vanessa Guide. The movie is based on the French graphic novel by Vincent Dugomier & Benoit Ers about a group of 13-year-olds in Nazi-occupied France who form an undercover cell to resist the Nazis, sparking a quiet resistance movement in their village. The film is opening in French theaters today. No word yet on a domestic release.
