Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Deadpool, Godzilla vs. Kong, Sonic the Hedgehog, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Alita: Battle Angel) has taken over scoring duties on DC Studios’ upcoming feature Supergirl. The film is directed by Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya, Cruella) and stars Milly Alcock, Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, Emily Beecham, David Krumholtz and Jason Momoa. The movie follows Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, as she reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on a journey of vengeance and justice when an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home. Ana Nogueira wrote the screenplay. DC Studios heads Peter Safran (Aquaman, The Conjuring) and James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, Superman) are producing the project. Ramin Djawadi was originally announced the score the film. Supergirl is set to be released in theaters nationwide on June 26, 2026 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
