Lim Giong (The Assassin, Caught by the Tides, Long Day’s Journey Into Night, Ash is Purest White, Jinpa) has been hired to score the upcoming crime thriller The Exiles. The film marks the English language feature debut of Taiwanese director Midi Z and stars Sam Worthington, David Duchovny and Ke-Xi Wu. The movie follows a desperate Westerner’s pursuit of greener pastures in Asia, where greed, ego and rivalry and ultimately spiral into a shocking murder. Midi Z also co-wrote the screenplay with Wu and is producing the project with Anita Gou (The Farewell, Assassination Nation), Tom Heller (Gonzo Girl, Monogamy) and Claudia Tseng. Giong has previously collaborated with the director on several features, including Nina Wu and The Road to Mandalay. The Exiles is currently shooting in Taipei. (THR)
