Cristobal Tapia de Veer (The White Lotus, Utopia, SmileBabygirl, The Third Day, The Girl with All the GiftsNational Treasure) has provided the original score for the upcoming documentary Nuisance Bear. The film is directed by Gabriela Osio Vanden & Jack Weisman based on their 2021 short of the same title and centers on a polar bear who is forced to navigate a human world of wildlife officers, tourists, and hunters as its ancient migration collides with modern life. The movie explores the sparking conflict between human interests and wild nature as the animal struggles to survive in a changing world. Michael Code, Will N. Miller (The Territory) and Teddy Leifer (All That Breathes, The Balloonists) are producing the project. Nuisance Bear is premiering today at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival and will be released by A24.

The composer’s other recent feature projects include Pablo Trapero’s &Sons, which premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and is currently awaiting a distribution deal.
