Greedy Heart Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Preparation for the Next Life. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Emile Mosseri (Minari, The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Homecoming, Kajillionaire, How to Make a Killing, When You Finish Saving the World). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 23. Preparation for the Next Life is directed by Bing Liu and stars Sebiye Behtiyar and Fred Hechinger. The movie is based on Atticus Lish’s book of the same name and follows a Uyghur woman laboring in New York’s underground kitchens who is torn between creating a better life together or living a life on her own when she encounters a troubled young American veteran who has just returned from three tours in the Middle East. The drama was released in select theaters last September by Orion Pictures and is now available to purchase on VOD and to stream on MGM+.
