A soundtrack album has been released for the Netflix original anime film Cosmic Princess Kaguya!. The album features the original songs from the movie written by a team of well-known Vocaloid producers, led by ryo (supercell) and joined by kz (livetune), 40mP, HoneyWorks, Aqu3ra and yuigot. The soundtrack is now available to stream on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also check out the music video for the “main theme”, Ex-Otogibanashi (Ex-Fairy Tale), composed by ryo (supercell) and performed by Yachiyo after the jump. Cosmic Princess Kaguya! is directed by Shingo Yamashita and features the voices of Yuko Natsuyoshi, Anna Nagase and Saori Hayami. The Studio Colorido & Studio Chromato production is inspired by the Japanese folk tale The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter and tells the story of a 17-year-old high school student in Tokyo whose life gets knocked off its orbit when a carefree runaway from the Moon, moves in and convinces her to perform in a virtual world together. The movie is premiering today on Netflix and is also being released in select theaters.
