Königskinder has released a soundtrack album for the German TV series War of the Kingdoms (Die Nibelungen – Kampf der Königreiche). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Jacob Shea (Seven Worlds One Planet, Asia, Planet Earth III, Blue Planet II) & Adam Lukas (Frozen Planet II, Hagen, Primates). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon or most other major digital music platforms. Also listen to the composers’ first two tracks after the jump. War of the Kingdoms is developed by Cyrill Boss & Philipp Stenner based on Wolfgang Hohlbein’s 1986 novel Hagen and stars Gijs Naber, Jannis Niewöhner, Lilja van der Zwaag, Rosalinde Mynster and Dominic Marcus Singe. The fantasy drama follows a loyal soldier who falls for a princess and whose secret affair ignites a mythic war that reshapes kingdoms and tests fate. The series premiered on German television last November and in other European markets over the last few months. No word yet on a domestic release.
