Kris Bowers (The Wild Robot, Green Book, King Richard, Haunted Mansion, Secret Invasion, The Color Purple, Dear White People, Space Jam: A New Legacy) has composed the original score for the upcoming animated feature GOAT. The film is directed by Tyree Dillihay, co-directed by Adam Rosette and features the voices of Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Union, Stephen Curry, Nicola Coughlan, David Harbour, Nick Kroll, Aaron Pierre, Jenifer Lewis, Patton Oswalt, Andrew Santino, Cherry Cola, Jelly Roll, Bobby Lee, Eduardo Franco and Jennifer Hudson. The animated action comedy tells the story of a small goat with big dreams who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball, a high-intensity, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world. Aaron Buchsbaum & Teddy Riley (Fairfax) wrote the screenplay based on story by Nicolas Curcio and Peter Chiarelli (Crazy Rich Asians). Curry is also producing the Sony Pictures Animation production with Michelle Raimo Kouyate (The Emoji Movie), Rodney Rothman (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Get Him to the Greek), Adam Rosenberg (The Tourist) and Erick Peyton (Stephen Curry: Underrated). GOAT will be released in theaters nationwide on February 13, 2026 by Sony Pictures.
Bowers also continues to score Netflix’s Bridgerton, which will return for its fourth season on January 29. He also recently scored Ben Proudfoot’s documentary The Eyes of Ghana, which premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and is currently awaiting a release date.
