Composer Stephen McKeon (Pilgrimage, Sharp Corner, Queen & Country, Norm of the North, The Damned, Rose Plays Julie, My Name Is Emily) ) is reteaming with director Lee Cronin on the upcoming reimagining of The Mummy franchise. The film is written and directed by Cronin and stars Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, Natalie Grace, May Calamawy and Veronica Falcó. The horror movie follows the family of young girl who disappeared into the desert eight years ago, when she is returned to them and turns what should be a joyful reunion turns into a living nightmare. James Wan (The Conjuring, Aquaman), Jason Blum (Get Out, Halloween) and John Keville (Saipan) are producing the New Line Cinema, Atomic Monster and Blumhouse production. McKeon has previously scored Cronin’s first two features, The Hole in the Ground & Evil Dead Rise. Lee Cronin’s The Mummy will be released in theaters nationwide on April 17, 2026 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
