Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the political thriller The Secret Agent (O Agente Secreto). The album features the film’s original music composed by Mateus Alves & Tomaz Alves Souza (Bacurau). The soundtrack is now available on most major digital music services in the U.S. and Canada. The Secret Agent is written and directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho and stars Wagner Moura, Carlos Francisco, Alice Carvalho  Tânia Maria, Robério Diógenes, Isabél Zuaa, Gabriel Leone and Udo Kier. The movie, which has been selected as Brazil’s entry (and recently was shortlisted) in the International Feature category for next year’s Academy Awards, is set in the late 1970s and follows a technology expert on the run, hoping to reunite with his son. The thriller premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and was released in select U.S. theaters over the last couple of weeks by Neon.
