Filmtrax/Atlantic Screen Music will release a soundtrack album for the crime thriller Sovereign. The album features the film’s original music composed by James McAlister (Theater Camp, Starting 5, Terrestrial). Also included is the song How Sweet I Roamed performed by Jeff Tweedy. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 19. The streaming/download link will be added to this page within the next day. Sovereign is written and directed by Christian Swegal and stars Nick Offerman, Jacob Tremblay, Dennis Quaid, Thomas Mann, Nancy Travis and Martha Plimpton. The movie follows a father and son who id follow a belief system deeply rooted in distrust of government authority and whose view turns deadly after a police confrontation, setting off a tragic chain of events. The thriller, which premiered a at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and recently received two Independent Spirits Awards nominations, was released in select theaters and on VOD this past July by Briarcliff Entertainment and is now also available on DVD.
