31st Critics Choice Awards Nominations Announced

The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) has announced the nominations for the 31st Critics Choice Awards this morning. The film music-related categories are listed below. For a full list of nominations, click here. The awards will be given out on January 4, 2026 at the 31st Annual Critics Choice Awards ceremony at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, hosted by Chelsea Handler and will broadcast in the U.S. live on E! and USA Network.

The Best Score nominees are:

Alexandre Desplat – Frankenstein (Netflix)
Max Richter – Hamnet (Focus Features)
Daniel Lopatin – Marty Supreme (A24)
Jonny Greenwood – One Battle After Another (Warner Bros.)
Ludwig Göransson – Sinners (Warner Bros.)
