La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere score album for the 1995 mystery thriller Devil in a Blue Dress written and directed by Carl Franklin and starring Denzel Washington, Tom Sizemore, Jennifer Beals, Don Cheadle and Maury Chaykin. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Elmer Bernstein (The Magnificent Seven, To Kill a Mockingbird, Ghostbusters, Far from Heaven, Airplane, The Age of Innocence). The CD, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 30th anniversary, is limited to 2,000 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release. Columbia Records has previously released the original 1995 soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie and three tracks by Bernstein. Devil in a Blue Dress is now available on VOD and (as part of the Criterion Collection) on 4k Ultra HD and Blu-ray.
