Jeff Danna (The Good Dinosaur, Onward, Alias Grace, The Addams Family, The Boondock Saints, Storks, Camelot, Silent Hill) has composed the original score for the new Netflix original series The Abandons. The show is created by Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy, Mayans M.C.) and stars Lena Headey, Gillian Anderson, Nick Robinson, Aisling Franciosi, Diana Silvers, Lucas Till, Natalia Del Riego and Lamar Johnson. The western drama is set in 1850s Washington and revolves around two families led by powerful matriarchs — one wealthy, one poor — as they battle for supremacy on the lawless frontier. Sutter is also executive producing the project with Chris Keyser (Party of Five, The Society), Robert Askins, Stephen Surjik (The Witcher), Emmy Grinwis (The House of the Fall of Usher) and Jon Paré (Outer Range), as well as Otto Bathurst (Robin Hood, Halo) who also directed the first episode. Danna has previously collaborated with Keyser on HBO Max’s Julia and FX’s Tyrant. The Abandons will premiere on December 4, 2025 exclusively on Netflix.
Danna is also expected to return to score the second season of Netflix’s The Hunting Wives.
