Walt Disney Records has announced the premiere vinyl release of the soundtrack for the 2000 animated classic The Emperor’s New Groove directed by Mark Dindal and starring David Spade, John Goodman, Patrick Warburton, Eartha Kitt and Wendie Malick. The album features the film’s original songs written by Sting & David Hartley, as well as six tracks from the animated faeture’s original score composed by John Debney (The Jungle Book, Hocus Pocus, The Passion of the Christ, Elf, Iron Man 2) . The soundtrack, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 25th anniversary, will be released as 2-LP set pressed on lemonade and grape color vinyl on November 14 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Emperor’s New Groove will also receive its first release on 4K Ultra HD on December 9 and will also be playing between November 21-24 at Disney’s El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.
