The evocative score for “The Last Frontier” is brought to life by Emmy-nominated composer and multi-instrumentalist Ariel Marx (“Dying For Sex”, “Black Mirror”). Marx expertly captures the otherworldly beauty and unnerving remoteness of the show’s setting in the Alaskan wilderness, while deftly transitioning from eerie tension laden soundscapes to frenetic sonic backdrops that heighten the show’s high stakes action scenes. “Working on ‘The Last Frontier’ was an absolute blast,” shares Marx. “I got to collaborate with Inuit throat singing duo PIQSIQ, evoke the Alaskan wilderness, and really play with expectations of an ‘action’ score. Thanks so much to Jon Bokenkamp (series creator) and Apple for encouraging all the experimentation and fun!”
