Warp Records & A24 Music will release the official soundtrack album for the biographical sports drama The Smashing Machine. The album features the film’s original music composed by Belgian experimental jazz musician Nala Sinephro who has made her feature scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, October 3 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version and vinyl edition will be coming out early next year and is available for pre-order here. A first track (Grand Prix) is already available to stream/download and can be checked out below. The Smashing Machine is written and directed by Benny Safdie and stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Ryan Bader, Bas Rutten and Oleksandr Usyk. The movie tells the story of legendary mixed martial arts & UFC fighter Mark Kerr as he struggles with winning, addiction, love and friendship at the peak of his career in the year 2000. The drama premiered at this year’s Venice Film Festival and will be released in theaters nationwide on October 3 by A24.
