Roddy Hart & Tommy Reilly (Anna and the Apocalypse, Our Ladies, Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The First Cases) are the composers of the new ITV drama Coldwater. The show is created by playwright/actor David Ireland and stars Andrew Lincoln, Ewen Bremner, Eve Myles and Indira Varma. The 6-part thriller follows a repressed man dealing with an identity crisis who moves his family from London to the rural Scottish village of Coldwater, where he is quickly befriended by a charming next-door neighbor who is harboring horrifying secrets. Ireland & Lincoln are also executive producing the SISTER production with Chris Fry (Black Doves, Kaos), Alice Tyler (The Following Events are Based on a Pack of Lies), Lydia Hampson (Fleabag) and Jane Featherstone (Chernobyl, Broadchurch). Coldwater is premiering in the UK tonight on ITV and will also be available to stream on ITVX.
Hart & Reilly have also recently scored Brian Cox’s feature directorial debut Glenrothan, which just premiered this month at the Toronto International Film Festival, as well as John McPhail’s Grow (starring Golda Rosheuvel & Nick Frost), which premiered last month at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and will be released in select U.S. theaters on October 3 by Fathom Events.
