Cake in Space Records has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for the horror comedy Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matt Mahaffey (Tales & Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Karma’s World, Max & the Midknights, Rock Dog 3: Battle the Beat). Also included is Onyx the Fortuitous & Farrah’s cover version of I’d Do Anything for Love. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. A limited vinyl edition (in several different variants) and cassette version featuring selections of the score has previously been released last year. Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls is written and directed by Andrew Bowser and stars Bowser himself, alongside Olivia Taylor Dudley, Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton and Arden Myrin. The movie follows a struggling amateur occultist whose dreams seem to be answered when he lands a coveted invitation to the mansion of his idol for a ritual to raise the spirit of an ancient demon. The comedy was released in select theaters in late 2023 by Fathom Events & Cineverse and is now available on VOD and Blu-ray.
