Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album for the Mexican Netflix original series The Secret of the River (El Secreto del Río). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Andrés Sánchez Maher & Gus Reyes (El Chapo, Control Z, Adolfo, Tijuana, Falco, Impossible Things). The Secret of the River is created by Alberto Barrera and stars Frida Sofía Cruz, Mauro Guzmán, Trinidad González, Lisa Rivas, Diego Calva Hernández, Yoshira Escárrega and Mercedes Hernández. The coming-of-age drama tells the story of a young boy who arrives in a small Mexican village and forms a friendship with a local kid – and a dark secret seals their bond forever. The series premiered last October and is now available to stream on Netflix.
