Rhino Records will release a new soundtrack album for the 1992 epic historical drama 1492: Conquest of Paradise directed by Ridley Scott and starring Gérard Depardieu, Armand Assante and Sigourney Weaver. The Expanded Edition features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Vangelis (Chariots of Fire, Blade Runer, Alexander, The Bounty), including two bonus tracks (Line Open & Landscape), which have previously been released as part of the Conquest of Paradise single, but were not included on the original soundtrack album. The soundtrack will be released digitally, on CD and as a double LP on Yellow Flame marble vinyl, housed in a gloss-laminated outer sleeve, on August 29.
