Christophe Chassol (Asylum Blackout, Sex, Love & Therapy, Dark Touch, Lamb) has signed on to score the upcoming World War II heist movie Le Faux Soir. The film is directed by Michaël R. Roskam (Bullhead, The Drop) and stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Mélanie Thierry, Karim Leklou, Mara Taquin, Julien Frison, Bouli Lanners and François Damiens. The movie is set in German-occupied Belgium in late 1943 and inspired by wartime events surrounding Belgian daily newspaper Le Soir, which came under Nazi Germany’s control following its invasion of the country in 1940. The project is produced by Frakas Productions & Goodfellas/Rectangle Productions, in association with Harbor Men Pictures & Anonymous Federation. Le Faux Soir is set to start principal photography this September in Belgium. (Deadline)
