Composer Carter Burwell (Carol, The Banshees of Inisherin, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, The Blind Side, Twilight, Anomalisa, Being John Malkovich) is reteaming with director Ethan Coen on the upcoming comedy Honey Don’t!. The film starring Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans, Charlie Day & Billy Eichner follows a small-town private investigator who delves into a series of strange deaths tied to a mysterious church. Coen also co-wrote screenplay with Tricia Cooke. They are both also producing the project with Robert Graf (Bombshell, Battle of the Sexes) and Working Title’s Tim Bevan & Eric Fellner (Atonement, Les Miserables). Burwell has previously scored Coen’s solo feature directorial effort, Drive-Away Dolls and composed most of Ethan & Joel Coen’s co-directed features including FargoTrue Grit, Blood Simple, The Big LebowskiRaising Arizona and Burn After ReadingHoney Don’t! will premiere next month at the Cannes Film Festival and is scheduled to be released in theaters on August 22, 2025 by Focus Features.

Also coming up for Burwell is Aziz Ansari’s Good Fortune, which is set to be released in theaters on October 17 by Lionsgate. He is also expected to return to score the fourth season of Apple TV+’s The Morning Show.
