Siddhartha Khosla (Only Murders in the Building, Paradise, This Is Us, The Idea of You, Welcome to ChippendalesRabbit HoleLooking for Alaska) has teamed up with Alan DeMoss to score the new Apple TV+ original series Government Cheese. Pharell Williams has contributed the opening titles song for the show created by Paul Hunter & Aeysha Carr (Woke) and starring David Oyelowo, Simone Missick, Jahi Di’Allo Winston, Bokeem Woodbine, Evan Ellison, Jeremy Bobb, Julien Heron, Louis Cancelmi, Djilali Rez-Kallah, Thomas Beaudoin, Louis Ferreira, Kyle Mac, John Ortiz and Adam Beach. The comedy is set in 1969 San Fernando Valley and tells the story of a quirky family pursuing lofty and seemingly impossible dreams, beautifully unfettered by the realities of the world, bu when a family member is released from prison, his long-awaited family reunion doesn’t go quite as he’d planned. Hunter, Carr & Oyelowo are also executive producing the Apple Studios & MACRO Television Studios production with Charles D. King (Judas and the Black Messiah, Mudbound), Jelani Johnson (Freaky Tales, Opus) and Ali Brown (American Manhunt). Government Cheese will this coming Wednesday, Friday, April 16 exclusively on Apple TV+.

Khosla also continues to score Hulu’s Paradise, which will return for a second season, as well as CBS’ Elsbeth, which currently airs every Thursday and has recently been renewed for a third season. He also has Skydance Animation’s feature Pookoo (expected to be premiere this year on Netflix) coming up.
