Hollywood Records will release the official soundtrack album for the spy thriller The Amateur. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Conclave, Lion, Hotel Mumbai, Adrift, The Old Guard, Patrick Melrose, One Life). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 11 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Amateur is directed by James Hawes and stars Rami Malek, Laurence Fishburne, Rachel Brosnahan, Michael Stuhlbarg, Caitríona Balfe, Jon Bernthal, Holt McCallany, Julianne Nicholson, Adrian Martinez and Danny Sapani. The movie is based on Robert Littell’s novel of the same title and follows a brilliant, introverted decoder for the CIA whose life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a London terrorist attack and he decides to take matters into his own hands. The thriller will be released in theaters nationwide this Friday by 20th Century Studios.
