Mayflies is written and adapted for TV by Andrea Gibb based on Andrew O’Hagan’s bestselling novel and stars Martin Compston, Tony Curran, Ashley Jensen, Rian Gordon, Tracy Ifeachor and Tom Glynn-Carney. The 3-part drama tells the story of two men whose 30-year friendship is tested when one of them is facing a terminal cancer diagnosis and asks the other to take him to Switzerland so he can end his life on his own terms. The drama premiered in the UK in late 2022 on BBC One and made its U.S. debut the following year on Acorn TV.
