Range Music will release a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age drama Los Frikis. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Steven Price (Gravity, Last Night in SohoOur Planet, Fury, Baby Driver, Suicide Squad, The Aeronauts, The World’s End). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 28 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first track below. A separate EP featuring the songs from the movie by the punk rock band Basura is also being released in the same date. Los Frikis is written and directed by Michael Schwartz & Tyler Nilson and stars Hector Medina, Eros de la Puente, Adria Arjona, Luis Alberto Garcia, Jorge Perugorría and César Camilo Roque. The movie produced by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller is set in 1990s Cuba, where Fidel Castro has outlawed all rock music, and follows a group of impoverished punk musicians who dream of a life beyond oppression and seize a dangerous escape. The drama, which premiered at last year’s Miami Film Festival, was released in select theaters last December by Wayward/Range and will be coming out on VOD tomorrow.
