Composer Michael Yezerski (The Tax CollectorThe Vigil, BlindspottingFeel the Beat, Corporate Animals)  is reteaming with director Sean Byrne (The Loved Ones) on the upcoming Australian horror thriller Dangerous Animals. The film starring Jai Courtney, Hassie Harrison & Josh Heuston follows a rebellious surfer who is abducted by a shark-obsessed serial killer and – trapped on his boat – must escape before he carries out a ritualistic feeding to the sharks below. Nick Lepard wrote the screenplay. Troy Lum & Andrew Mason (I, Frankenstein, Lee) are producing the project for Brouhaha Entertainment, alongside Pete Shilaimon (Megan Leavey, I.S.S.) & Mickey Liddell (Jackie, The Grey) for LD Entertainment, Chris Ferguson (Longlegs, The Monkey) for Oddfellows Entertainment, as well as Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Sinister, The Bikeriders) for Range Media Partners. Yezerski has previously scored Byrne’s last feature The Devil’s Candy. Dangerous Animals will be released in U.S. theaters on June 6, 2025 and will make its streaming debut on Shudder later this year.

Yezerski’s other recent feature projects include Rebel Wilson’s directorial debut The Deb, which premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and is currently awaiting a release date.
