Intrada Records has released the label’s new recordings of the scores for the 1948 horror comedy Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein directed by Charles Barton and starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Lon Chaney Jr. & Bela Lugosi and 1955’s Abbott and Costello Meet the Keystone Kops directed by Charles Lamont and starring Abbott, Costello, Fred Clark & Mack Sennett. The album features the music from Meet the Frankenstein composed by Academy Award nominee Frank Sinner (Saboteur, Arabian Nights, The House of the Seven Gables) and Meet the Keystone Kops by William Lava (Looney Tunes, Dracula vs. Frankenstein), Herman Stein (Revenge of the Creature) & Academy Award winner Henry Mancini ((The Pink Panther, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The Thorn Birds), newly recorded with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra under the baton of William T. Stromberg. The CD version of the Kickstarter-funded project is now available to order on Intrada’s official website and a digital version is available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services.
