Rael Jones (Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris, Harlots, My Cousin Rachel, My Lady Jane, Role Play, Kids in Love) has composed the original music for the new BBC drama This City Is Ours. The show is created by Stephen Butchard (The Last Kingdom, The Child in Time) and stars Sean Bean, James Nelson-Joyce, Hannah Onslow, Jack McMullen, Julie Graham, Laura Aikman, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Kevin Harvey, Bobby Schofield, Mike Noble, Darci Shaw and Stephen Walters. The 8-part crime drama tells the story of man who for all of his adult life has been involved in organized crime who must navigate the chaos when his boss hinting is at retirement and rivals vying for control to protect the woman he loves and the child he’s always wanted. Butchard is also executive producing the Left Bank Pictures production with lead director Saul Dibb (The Duchess, Journey’s War), Andy Harries (The Queen, The Crown), Rebecca Hodgson (Evermoor, Free Rein) and Sian McWilliams (Everything Now, Without Sin), as well as Jo McClellan (I May Destroy You, The Last Panthers) and Sami El Hadi for the BBC. Jones has previously collaborated with Dibb on the feature Suite Francaise and the limited series The Salisbury Poisonings & The Sixth Commandments. This City Is Ours will premiere in the UK this coming Sunday, March 23 on BBC One.
