Daniel Blumberg was honored with his first Academy Award for his score for Brady Corbet’s epic period drama The Brutalist at tonight’s 97th Oscar ceremony. The other nominated composers in the Original Score category were Volker Bertelmann (Conclave), Clément Ducol & Camille (Emilia Pérez), John Powell & Stephen Schwartz (Wicked) and Kris Bowers (The Wild Robot).
In the Original Song category, Clément Ducol, Camille & director Jacques Audiard won their first Academy Award for the song El Mal from Audiard’s Emilia Pérez.
