Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning & Fallout, His Dark Materials, Black Widow, The Wheel of Time, Top Gun: Maverick, Black Adam, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F ) has teamed up with Andrew Kawczynski (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Corrupted, Sky Hunter) to score the upcoming action comedy Novocaine. The film is directed by Dan Berk & Robert Olsen (Villains, Significant Others) and stars Jack Quaid, Amber Midthunder, Ray Nicholson, Matt Walsh, Betty Gabriel, Lou Beatty Jr., Conrad Kemp, Van Hengst and Jacob Batalon. The movie follows an everyman whose dream girls gets kidnapped and turns his inability to feel pain into an unexpected strength in his fight to get her back. Lars Jacobson (Day of the Dead: Bloodline) wrote the screenplay. Drew Simon, Tory Tunnell, Joby Harold (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Awake), Sam Speiser, Matt Schwartz and Julian Rosenberg are producing he project. Balfe & Kawczynski have previously co-scored 2023’s Gran Turismo. Novocaine will be released in theaters nationwide on March 14, 2025 by Paramount Pictures.
Balfe’s other upcoming feature projects include Christopher McQuarrie’s Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (to be released in theaters on May 23), as well as Michael Bay’s We Are Storror and Babak Anvari’s Hallow Road (both premiering next month at the SXSW Film Festival.)
