The team behind the sound mixing of James Mangold’s A Complete Unknown has won the award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing in the Motion Pictures – Live Action category at tonight’s 61st annual Cinema Audio Society Awards ceremony at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. Scoring mixer Nick Baxter (who also serves as the movie’s executive music producer), along with production sound mixer Tod A. Maitland, re-recording mixers Paul Massey & David Giammarco, ADR mixer David Betancourt and foley mixer Kevin Schultz received the award for the Academy Award-nominated film. In the Motion Pictures – Animated category, scoring mixer Alan Meyerson was honored as part of the sound mixing team of DreamWorks Animation’s The Wild Robot (scored by Kris Bowers).  In the Non-Theatrical Motion Picture or Limited Series category, scoring mixer Thor Fienberg was recognized as part of the sound mixing team of Apple TV+ limited series Masters of the Air (scored by Blake Neely).
