Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1988 British television movie The Lady and the Highwayman directed by John Hough, written by Terence Feely based on Barbara Cartland’s novel Cupid Rides Pillion and starring Hugh Grant, Lysette Anthony, Michael York, Emma Samms and Oliver Reed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Laurie Johnson ( Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, The Avengers, The New Avengers, Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter, The Professionals & Jason King, Thriller). The soundtrack is being released as a limited edition CD and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release. A digital version is expected to be available on all major streaming platforms in a couple of weeks. The Lady and the Highwayman is now available to stream in the U.S. on Tubi and The Roku Channel and to purchase on DVD.
