Trafalgar Releasing has announced the concert film Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert, a global event that captures a live performance of some of Zimmer’s most revered compositions, including music from Dune, Interstellar, Gladiator, The Lion King & other titles. The movie is directed by Paul Dugdale and features footage from recent concerts by Zimmer, his band and a world-class orchestra at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena, the Al Wasl Plaza dome at Expo City Dubai and beyond. The film also features conversations with some of his collaborators, including Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, Jerry Bruckheimer (who also serves as an executive producer), Johnny Marr, Pharrell Williams, Tanya Lapointe, as well as Billie Eilish, Finneas, Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya. Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert will be released in select theaters in most major markets, including the U.S. on March 19, 2025 with tickets going on on sale from Wednesday, February 5 at at hanszimmerfilm.com.
