Edo Van Breemen (Air, Hollow in the Land, AfflictedThe Backward Class) is the composer of the upcoming horror comedy The Monkey. The film is co-written and directed by Osgood Perkins (Longlegs, Gretel & Hansel) and stars Theo James, Tatiana Maslany, Christian Convery, Rohan Campbell, Elijah Wood, Colin O’Brien and Sarah Levy. The movie is based on the short story by Stephen King and follows two twin brothers who find a mysterious wind-up monkey that causes series of outrageous deaths and – 25 years later – begins a new killing spree forcing the estranged duo to confront the cursed toy. James Wan (Aquaman, The Conjuring) is producing the Atomic Monster project with Michael Clear (Malignant, Salem’s Lot), C2 Entertainment’s Dave Caplan (Goodrich, Azrael) & Jason Cloth, as well as Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (The Bikeriders, Upgrade). The Monkey will be released in theaters nationwide on February 21, 2025 by Neon.
