Dan Romer (Luca, Beasts of No NationManiacStation Eleven, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Superman & Lois, The Good Doctor) is scoring the new NBC drama The Hunting Party. The show is created by JJ Bailey and stars Melissa Roxburgh, Nick Wechsler, Josh McKenzie, Patrick Sabongui and Sara Garcia. The series revolves around a small team of investigators who are assembled to track down and capture the most dangerous killers our country has ever seen, all of whom have just escaped from a top-secret prison that’s not supposed to exist. Bailey is also executive producing the Universal Television production with co-showrunner Jake Coburn (Quantico, Biohackers), Keto Shimizu (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), as well as Thor Freudenthal (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters) who also directed the first episode. The Hunting Party will premiere this Sunday, January 19 on NBC before moving to its regular Monday night timeslot on February 3.

Romer’s other recent projects include Kyle Hausmann-Stokes’ My Dear Friend Zoe, which premiered at last year’s SXSW Film Festival and will be released in U.S. theaters on February 28 by Roadside Attractions.
