Paul Haslinger (Underworld, Halt and Catch Fire, Crank, Shoot ‘Em Up, Prom Night, Blue Crush) has composed the original score for the upcoming fantasy action adventure In the Lost Lands. The film is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil, Event Horizon) and stars Dave Bautista, Milla Jovovich and Arly Jover. The movie is based on short story by George R.R. Martin (Game of Thrones) and tells the story of a queen who – desperate to fulfill her love – sends a powerful and feared sorceress to the ghostly wilderness of the Lost Lands in search of a magical power, where the sorceress and her guide must outwit and outfight man and demon. Constantin Werner (The Pagan Queen) wrote the screenplay based on a story written with Anderson. Anderson, Jovovich & Werner are also producing the Constantin Films production with Jeremy Bolt (The Hole, Black Beauty) Jonathan Meisner (My Spy, Final Score) and Robert Kulzer (Wrong Turn, Fantastic Four). Haslinger has previously collaborated with Anderson on such features as Death Race, The Three Musketeers, Pompeii, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter and Monster Hunter. In the Lost Lands will be released in U.S. theaters nationwide on March 7, 2025 by Vertical.
Haslinger’s other recent projects include Bobby Roth’s documentary Good Men, which premiered at last year’s Mill Valley Film Festival and also just screened last week at the Palm Spring Film Festival. The composer has released a soundtrack EP featuring his score in October. Visit Amazon (or any other major digital music services) to stream/download the 6-track EP.
