Art School Rebellion has released a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age comedy drama Empire Waist. The album features the film’s original score composed by Kovas (On My Block, Boo, Bitch, Triumph: Jesse Owens and the Berlin Olympics). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first track (The Start of the Day) below. Available to stream download separately as a digital single is the original song (Never Trust) The Quiet Ones performed by Kassandra Tellez. Empire Waist is written and directed by Claire Ayoub and stars Mia Kaplan, Jemima Yevu, Jolene Purdy, Rainn Wilson and Missi Pyle. The movie revolves around a a plus size, insecure teen whose talent for fashion is discovered by her confident classmate, forcing her into the spotlight and into the path of both bullies and new friends. The dramedy, which premiered at this year’s Seattle International Film Festival, was released in select U.S. theaters this past September by Blue Fox Entertainment and is now available on VOD. The film will also be coming out on DVD on December 31.
